I believe that education is a fundamental right to every human being; thus, education should be accessible to all.
I believe students have a right to self-determine their identity; thus, education should empower students with the tools and language necessary for expressing themselves.
I believe that education is key for social mobility; thus, students should be taught to critically navigate complex social realities to unlock their full potential.
I believe that students bring new knowledge into learning contexts; thus, teachers should adopt a learning stance toward their students and adjust pedagogy accordingly.
I believe that literacy pedagogy should encompass multiple literacies as an alternative to the dominant social literacy; thus, students should learn numerous strategies for making meaning of the world around them.
I believe technology has an essential role in education in this digital era; thus, teachers should be prepared and equipped to meaningfully teach students with the technology they use in daily life.
